Compliments on the first class food photography. Very well done.
That raw meat on slices of bread is a nifty thing to serve in a cafe. Well spotted!

Woo hoo !! A coffee siphon! Those things were unknown in this country when I first brought one back from Taiwan. They were very common in east & s.east asia, there was a place in Brunei (The Coffee Tree) that made coffee in nothing but.

They're quite a novely, & a must for the cupboard of any quirky coffee aficionado, but it is hard work to make coffee in them. (Well, the cleaning is, if you do it properly).
They're somewhat fragile too, and difficult to get hold of replacement parts. (Well, it used to be)

A new twist on coffee taste. In reality the result isn't much different from drip filtering.

I prefer my coffee hot too, seems like these low-tech brewing methods are really hot right now though. Cool that it's right near your work.

Wooooot! This place is near my work and is where I pick up our work coffee from every few weeks, *and* I just discovered that one of my old high school friends is the chef there. I'm so glad you blogged (and liked) it! They gave me a sample of the cold drip the last time I was there, and it was lovely, although I kind of do like my coffee hot... :P
